We aim to reply within one business day. Tell us your company name, which store, and what happened just before it went wrong — that usually gets to the answer in one message rather than four.

Things worth trying first

Tags are not printing

  1. Is the printer powered on, and is the label roll loaded and closed?
  2. Is the tablet on the same network as the printer? A tablet on WiFi and a printer on Ethernet work together fine, as long as both lead back to the same router. They will not reach each other across a guest network — guest WiFi is deliberately walled off from everything else, which is the single most common cause of a printer that seems to have vanished. Put the tablets on your main network.
  3. In Manage → Printers, press Test. A test tag proves the whole path.
  4. If the printer's address has changed, put the new one in. A printer that moves is the most common cause — giving it a fixed address on your router prevents it.

The printer worked yesterday and cannot be found today

Almost always its address changed. Routers hand out addresses on a lease, and when one expires the printer can come back on a different one while the app is still looking at the old.

Fixing it for good takes two minutes in your router: give each printer a reserved address so it gets the same one every time. Any router made in the last decade can do this — look for "DHCP reservation" or "static lease".

A barcode will not scan at the register

Check the printed tag against a tag you know works. If the bars look faint, raise the darkness in Manage → Printers. If the code is right but your register does not know it, the price list needs importing again through POS Sync.

Someone cannot sign in

The internet is down

Keep working. Staff can sign in, tag, and print through an outage. Everything is saved on the tablet and syncs by itself when the connection returns. You do not need to do anything, and nothing is lost.

The one thing that will not work is a login that has never been used on that particular tablet before.

A tablet has gone missing

Sign in as an admin, open the account console, and revoke it. It stops working immediately, and everything stored on it becomes unusable.

Billing

Change how many tablets you are paying for, update your card, or cancel: email us and we will send you a link to your billing portal.

Cancelling leaves the account running until the end of the period you have paid for.

Hardware we suggest

Label Logic works with any networked Zebra label printer and any modern Android tablet. What we run ourselves:

Full details, including a cheaper printer option and why we still recommend the ZD621, are on the supplies page.
